About Me

I am a Specialist Sleep Disorders and Respiratory Physician providing expert, evidence-based and patient-centred care.

I have particular interests and expertise in the diagnosis and management of the broad spectrum of sleep disorders. I also care for patients with airways disease and other respiratory conditions.

I completed a Fellowship in chronic ventilation and Respiratory Medicine at the Austin Hospital and the Victorian Respiratory Support Service (VRSS), where I developed my knowledge in the diagnosis and management of complex sleep disorders, acute and chronic respiratory failure, and ventilation.

My Approach to Patient Care

I am passionate about providing the best quality care for my patients and strongly advocate for a shared approach to decision-making. To achieve this, my consultation times are structured to be comprehensive and unhurried.

During our appointment, I take the dedicated time required to:

  • Undertake an accurate and thorough clinical assessment.

  • Review and clearly explain the results of your diagnostic investigations.

  • Ensure you understand your condition and the management options.

I also admit patients to Epworth Eastern, Box Hill.

Clinical Reliability and Communication

While I endeavour to run on schedule, the complex nature of sleep disorders and respiratory medicine means that some consultations require additional time for complex clinical needs or emergencies. This is to ensure that every patient receives the same dedicated, unhurried attention during their appointment.

I also pride myself on prompt, detailed communication and teamwork with referring General Practitioners and Specialists in order to facilitate your ongoing care.

Academic and Professional Involvement

Beyond the consulting room, I am actively involved in the education and development of medical students and Physician Trainees, as well as examining for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. I contribute to ongoing clinical research through my affiliation with the Institute for Breathing and Sleep (IBAS) at Austin Health and am currently investigating the physiological effects of hemidiaphragm dysfunction on the respiratory system.

In my spare time, I love exploring what Melbourne has to offer, including the diverse food and brunch scene, training at CrossFit, and spending time with my toy poodle.
